It is almost always the case the free is good. It is also the case, according to the old saying, that nothing in life is free. It would be a leap of logic (and an incorrect one) to surmise from these two statements that nothing in life is good, but that would be trite and misleading. We can state with conviction – conviction borne out by personal experience, I may add – that the free file sharing software Ares Destiny is free, and it is most definitely not good.
Actually, I’ll rephrase that. The software itself is fine. The website from which you download Ares Destiny is fine, too; even the installation is painless. The interface for the sharing software itself is a little complex and dry looking, and it doesn’t do absolutely everything that I would expect from my filesharing software, but there isn’t so much wrong with Ares Destiny that I would write it off purely on it’s blandness. No, there is a much deeper problem.

Ares Destiny isn’t bad software but it’s not good

[...] Ares Destiny is actually a fairly average piece of software and actually would be more than adequate for the needs of many people. The fact that the download and install procedure are so very simple and work so quickly would in fact make it quite a good choice for many. The catch, of course, is that it brings an unwanted guest to the party: Dealio. [...]
